WISe Program

Services offered for WISe:

What is WISe:

Washington State’s Wraparound with Intensive Services, or WISe, is an approach to helping children, youth, and their families with intensive mental health care using a team approach. Services are available in home and community settings and offer a system of care based on the individualized need of the child or youth.

Youth that may benefit from WISe are those youth that are 20 years of age or younger and are Apple Health Eligible. Those who are involved in multiple child service systems (e.g., child welfare, juvenile justice, special education, substance use treatment, etc.)  Youth for whom more restrictive services have been requested.  Youth who may be at risk of school failure and/or have experienced significant or repeated disciplinary issues due to behavioral challenges. Youth who have been significantly impacted by childhood or adolescent trauma. Youth who have been prescribed multiple or high doses of psychotropic medication.  Youth exhibiting risk factors such as suicidal ideation, danger to self or others and/or behaviors due to mental or behavioral challenges.

How to Access WISe:

Referrals for a WISe screener can be made by contacting 509-758-3341.  After the referral, QBH will screen the youth for WISe using a CANS tool. This screening will determine whether the youth will benefit from WISe. In the event a youth does not meet the WISe level of care, they will be referred for other mental health services to address their needs, as appropriate.
